Magical, sacred experience at the Monda Mountain Retreat. Do not miss this gem. Real authentic Spain at its finest.
Words cannot do justice to this stunning little piece of heaven out in the mountains of Monda.
Nor can words for the beautiful, kind, holistic & I think magical Helen!
She went over and above for us both. Without any imposition at all. Just overwhelmingly kind & Organised. She has made this property and her guests number one priority. It's very clear from arrival.
At the same time we'd hardly known she was there.
Privacy is imperative to her guests. That you can tell. She is like the kindest, best ninja mouse host!!!
Beautiful touches left for you without a sound or trace.
Arrived on the first day to a beautiful welcome with home cooked rice (due to the timing shops weren't open on Sunday). Would we know? Absolutely not. This had been carefully considered by Helen in advance of course! Fresh water provided. Supplies in the fridge, and ample recommendations for food.
I'm gluten-free and dairy free & came to find Soy and GF bread sticks and bread was left.
You don't forget touches like that! It's beyond belief how caring she is for her guests here. Nothing is too much trouble.
Communication superb. Throughout. Check in was so easy. Follow her instructions, thoughtful voice notes and tips for quick and easy travel through.

Located in the mountains of gorgeous Monda, if you enjoy a sacred moment with nature and views that take your breath away, this mountain retreat is THE ONLY place we would book now.
The accomodation was so beautiful. The cabin was idyllic and felt really lovely and spacious. Air con keeps the place cool and I sleep very hot. I was concerned but needn't have been. I slept so well. How could I not, the mountain air and restful tone knocks you off your feet. It's a true Havana.
Waking up to the views from the mountain, along with all the home comforts caringly provided for us, was without doubt a moment I will never forget.
You hardly realise you aren't alone in the whole world.
Yet driving distance from plenty of little local amenities. Bars & restaunts. The locals are so kind. Always nice to learn a little of the language too.
The little touches like the ample loungers, BBQ on the terrace, private dipping pool.
Everything you can think you may need has been provided. By the end of our stay we felt like we had been there forever. In the best way. It felt like home to us.
I could have stayed there for months and never got tired of the atmosphere, the energy and the views.
Helen has built this place with love. It shows in every aspect.
The plants, the organic home pressed olive oil caringly left out for use when cooking. Wonderful selection of herbs & spices incase you decided to cook.
You want for nothing and need less. The facilities were superb. Bedding fresh and comfortable. Clean and cared for. With a very homely feeling.
Selection of books and dvds of all genres. It's evident she wants her guests to have the best experience here. It eminates from the ground up!
If you get a chance indulge in one of Helen's deep oil massage and facials. I had one and have never felt so relaxed and at one with myself. The natural oils used and raindrop therapy was very very indulgent and holistic. Cannot recommend treating yourself enough.
Thank-you Helen for an experience and stay we will never forget.
